About Me

I started to learn the piano privately at the age of 7 and I was also involved in many musical activities at school. I have always enjoyed playing the piano and have thrived from passing exams in this area.

It was when I started my Grade 6 that I decided I would love to pass my knowledge onto others. Since then I have passed Grades 7 and 8 and also decided to sit my Grade 6 exam in The Theory of Music, which I successfully passed.

In addition, I have attended an introduction to teaching workshop through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, which gave me further insight into the skills and knowledge involved in teaching music.

I believe that the key to a successful pianist is to understand the various musical elements such as aural, theory and musical history as well as simply being able to play the notes on the page.

I aim to incorporate these aspects into my teaching therefore assisting in the creation of a rounded musician. However, above all else, I hope to pass my enjoyment and passion for the instrument onto my pupils.
